Prakash Javadekar said that in a major decision, the Cabinet has decided to give 7,858 thousand professors the benefits of the Seventh Pay Commission to all the colleges that get help from Central University, State University and UGC. It also includes 213 institutes like Central University and IITs, which the central government finances 100 per cent. Its 58 thousand professors will get the benefit. It will be borne by the Pay Commission.

The Union Minister said that 329 State Universities and 7 lakh professors of 12,912 colleges, Assistant Professor and Associate Professor will get the benefit. All of these will benefit from January 1, 2016. This increase has increased from 10 thousand to 50 thousand rupees. 22 per cent to 28 per cent. The consent of the State Governments will be necessary for the implementation of this decision in the Universities run by the states. At the same time, the Central Government will bear the additional financial burden on the states. This decision will have a financial burden of Rs 9800 crore on the Central Government.

According to the Modi government, it will be implemented from January 1, 2016. This fiscal and 7.58 lakh teachers will get the benefit and the central government will have a financial burden of 9800 crore.
